Participants were asked about the number of hours they slept, as well as about sleep-related questions that health care workers would review in examining the health effects of sleep loss, such as, “In the past three months, did you never, rarely, sometimes or often…”

Brushing For Your Skin

Have you considered brushing your skin in the morning? Dry skin brushing is such a great way to help your body stimulate the lymphatic system, enhancing blood circulation, reduce cellulite, and the release toxins. Often times if you are on a detox plan they might tell you to do this, but you can also use it daily. Dry brushing has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for many many years. So, how do you dry bush:

* The ideal time to dry brush is in the morning before you shower, so that you can rinse off the impurities loosened by the massage.

* You will want to massage your entire body, excluding your face, chest, and heart. Also avoid sensitive areas and anywhere the skin is broken or inflamed.

* Use circular strokes on the stomach and joints (shoulders, elbows, knees, wrists, hips, and ankles). Use long, sweeping strokes on the arms and legs. Always massage toward your heart to ensure the proper circulation of lymph fluid.

* Apply light pressure where the skin is thin, such as the underarms, and harder pressure where the skin is thicker, such as the soles of the feet.

* Massage from your feet upward, continuing up to your torso and neck. Also massage your hands up through your shoulders.
