So Darshan Chakra Kriya, a wonderful meditation for transformation. This meditation is very traditional, and very powerful. I happen to come across this meditation the other day after I say a comment that someone had made at a meditation forum. This is a very powerful meditation yoga. I have started using it again first thing in the morning to help me get my mind in a clear spot. The version that I use is from Ana Brett, listed below.

This meditation can very quickly and effectively help a person to clarify and resolve the core issues in their life.

Sit with a straight spine and block your right nostril with your right thumb. Inhale through your left nostril. Hold your breath and mentally repeat the mantra Wha Hay Guru 16 times. With each Wha Hay Guru move your navel in three graduated movements towards the spine. On Wha pull it 1/3 in, on Hay pull it 2/3 in, and on Guru pull your navel in to the fullest extent you can. So, you are moving your navel 48 times in the course of repeating Wha Hay Guru mentally 16 times. After the 16th repetion of Wha Hay Guru, block your left nostril with your right little finger, lift your right thumb, and exhale through your right nostril. Then block your right nostril again and continue. Your eyes in this one are 1/10 open, looking down and in towards the tip of your nose. Start with 11 minutes of practice. Over time you can work up to 2 1/2 hrs.! Remember that it’s always inhale through the left nostril and exhale through the right. To end this meditation inhale and stretch your arms up and shake your whole body. Then meditate in science for a minute, focusing at the brow with Long Light Breathing.

Yogi Bhajan says, regarding So Darhan Chakra Kriya: “Of all the 20 types of yoga, including Kundalini Yoga, this is the highest Kriya. This meditation cuts through all darkness. It will give you a new start. It cuts through all barriers of accumulated neuroses. This kriya invokes the Kundalini to give you the necessary vitality and intuition to combat the negative pressure of the subconscious mind.” ( Raviana.com)
