We’re all a product of how we were raised. The lessons passed down to us by our parents plays a large role in how we approach situations in our day to day lives and with these lessons comes the idea of new lessons, or improved lessons we can pass down to our children.

A key lesson I’d like to pass onto my children is to never settle. Pursue your dreams and desires to there fullest and never accept failure as the only outcome. Any and every dream is worth pursuing and executing, even if the outcome is not as how you perceived in your dream. It’s these pursuits that build us as individuals; they give us character and color.
Another lesson is to never let somebody tell you that you can’t. In fact “I can’t” or “you can’t” shouldn’t even be in their vocabulary. You can do anything you want to, be anything you want to be, have whatever you want to have. When we let can’t step into our lives we are admitting defeat and turning way from our dreams, can’t is the literal of failure.
Live in the present, never look back at what you’ve done and never look forward to what you could do. Stay in the present moment, breathe deep and take in your surroundings, take note of all of your senses at the one moment in time and do it again for the next and the moment after that. Listen to your intuition and let it guide you. If you spend your time in the past you can never step out of the past and if you live in the future you’ll never get there. What’s real is what’s now and everything else is simply an illusion.
Money is trivial; it has no bearing on your character or your success. Money is simply energy transferring from one being to another. While you have it you should enjoy to its fullest. This doesn’t mean spend every dime you earn, but instead means to use your money to your advantage, spend on what you truly want and don’t worry about it. The more time you waste worrying about money the less money you’ll have.
Finally, covet your friends and your family. Without friends and family life can be very lonely. Friends and family are like a garden, without constant nurturing the garden will shrivel and die, but with proper care the garden will yield a bountiful harvest.
Every day is a good day. Live without regret and always give 110%.
