  1. Pre-Natal Meditation

    May 7th, 2009 By: Brittany

I thought in the spirit of Mother’s Day and week that this nice meditation would be a great tool for expecting mom’s as well as all mom’s.

    Sit comfortably with back straight.
Palms together in front of heart center.
    Inhale&Exhale deeply as you repeat….

My body is beautiful & strong
    My baby is growing perfectly
The Universe loves me & supports my baby

I am preparing for the Divine Plan of my life to unfold
Pregnancy is natural & normal, safe & divine
My body knows how to give birth & I will let it

    I feel calm & relaxed
I send love to my baby
My body is beautiful & strong

Continue to inhale & exhale deeply a few more times as you imagine a golden light emanating from your heart center to your baby, bathing you both in health, warmth, and love.
    (heart center meditation)

  2. Don’t Forget To Breathe

    May 4th, 2009 By: Brittany

Many of us forget to properly breathe. When our nervous system gets over worked with chronic stress, anxieties, and worries it doesn’t allow are brain to consciously be aware of the proper function of deep breathing.

Deep breathing is not a new concept as you may know. If you have taken any yoga, stretching, or Pilate’s class they will all mention to make sure you breathe deep. Breathing deep does the body good on many levels. It not only helps the diaphragm relax and release tension, but it helps the body detox toxins, circulates more oxygen to your organs, and relieves emotional stress.

Hear are some great breathing exercises that I highly recommend. Any one of these are a great way to start your morning even before you get out of bed. You can also find the full version of this article here: Breathing Techniques

  3. Nations Concern Over New Flu

    May 3rd, 2009 By: Brittany

I invite you to all take a moment to rest your mind over any anxieties that may be arising from the media regarding the swine flu. Though this is a concern that needs to be addressed, try not to let the fear of the situation control you. Fear creates open doors for us to take in unneeded energy, as well as illness. If you are finding it hard to relax try taking a few minutes for your self, and sit somewhere quiet where you can meditate. Move your energy. Release all the unwanted stress.

There are a few suggestions that can keep you and your family healthy and happy.

    • I always suggest to people to buy a vaporizer to use with essential oils. Not only are essential oils like Eucalyptus, Lavender, and Oregano great for calming mind and body, but it is also excellent for cleaning out bacteria and virus’s in the air. For instance, when Eucalyptus is inhaled through a vaporizer it is able to kill bacteria or viral bugs that may be hanging out in your nose and lungs.
    • Another dietary suggestion is trying some Sambucus. This is great for both adults and small children. It helps boost your immune system and is very high in antioxidants.
    • Don’t forget get old vitamin c. If you have enough vitamin c in your body the chances of getting sick are much slimmer. If you are sick taking vitamin c consistently will keep you from running a fever as well as feeling all the other symptoms.
    • Belladona, a homeopath is also great to us when and if you have a fever.
    • Espom Salt soak will help relax any anxiety as well as clear out any toxic energy in your body. This is also very good for aches and pains.

  4. Feng Shui

    May 2nd, 2009 By: Brittany

I recently had my home feng shuiied for the purpose to incorporate my environments energy along with the energy work that I personally do. This process has made me really realize that your environment really has to work in harmony with the rest of what is going on in your life. My life has been somewhat chaotic, as most peoples are, and I decided that this alteration needed to be done.

What I found most amazing is how moving a simple couch a few spaces can rummage up all this energy that you didn’t even know was existent. I found my family going through a growth period of change both personally, and as a family. My husband’s work life with co-workers has calmed down, my 2 year old son has calmed down, and I find my stuff way more balanced then before.

I have found that people take interest in this art even though they don’t know much about it. Most are very interested in the mystery that is feng shui. Though most people don’t know anything about the purpose they are all interested for the same reason; finding a release to their everyday stress. People pay big money to release their stress, and feng shui is no exception.
