  1. Sat Nam

    May 11th, 2009 By: Brittany

Sat Nam (truth is my identity) meditation is one I use very often. I like this meditation because I can do it almost anywhere and it is a quick way to set your mind back on track when you have lost focus.

Sit or lay down in a space that is quiet and calm

Gentley touch your thumb and index fingers together

Slowly and patiently inhale and exhale through your nose

On each inhale think Sat, on the exhale think Nam

Keep your focus at your brow or bridge of nose

If you have more time to focus you can careful find your pulse that beats between the index and thumb finger. Alternate between each beat Sat and then Nam. This technique may take some time, but once you learn it you will want to keep it as a tool for further meditations.

  2. Get Your Energy Moving

    May 5th, 2009 By: Brittany

I want to share a nice exercise that you can do at anytime. This exercise is not a new concept to energy work, but it is a nice exercise to regenerate and release.

Sit or lay down in a nice comfortable place. It is important that this place feel good to you.

    1. Rub you hands together in a nice gentle circular motion. This gets the energy running to your hands.
    2. Place your hand palm down over your lower pelvic area near your tailbone (Did does not matter what hand you use, or how many hands you use). In a nice counter clockwise position move your hand over your root chakra. There is really no time limit to this because you will know when to stop. When you feel that you are done going counterclockwise, shake your hand, and start moving clockwise. Shake you hand off when you are done. This allows the excess energy to be moved off.
    3. Move up to your sacral chakra. This is located just below your belly button. Apply the same technique as above.
    4. From there move up to the solar plexus, heart chakra, throat chakra, third eye, and crown. Remember don’t forget to breathe nice and slow.

Below is a diaphragm to show the appropriate locations of each chakra. If you want to add even more relaxation to the exercise you can use lavender oil diluted in a carrier oil. Rub the oil in the same position over the chakras.

    Enjoy!
