  2. Conquer Insects The Eco-Friendly Way

    August 31st, 2009 By: Brittany

I have had my share with our insect problem inside our home this summer. I am sure that many of us have heard or have dealt personally with sugar ants, and other indoor insects. Often, you find to get rid of these unsanitary and pesky insects is using chemical products that only make the environment in your home worse.

I have recently purchased a product called EcoSense Brand Indoor Insect Killer. This is a very safe product that gets the job done. According to the company the product has no harsh chemicals, non-staining, and kills bugs on contact. In my opinion the product served up to its word. My family is very sensitive to chemicals and when you have small children and animals around you don’t want them to get sick with anything that has bad chemicals in it. They also have insectidial soap and snail and slug sprays.

  3. 2 Great Life Tips

    August 31st, 2009 By: Brittany

I’d like to mention two great life tips that we often forget when we want to change our path. Keep in mind it is always important to write your own list about all your personal intentions, especially if you feel you lack confidence to start what you want.

    Don’t tell everyone
Often when people want to make changes in their life, they tell everyone about it only to be left feeling defeated when they experience some issues on the way. If anyone asks you about what you’d like to change in your life, keep it simple and then change the subject before you feel you need to get more detailed. We are all conditioned to expect people, and ourselves, to weaken and give up on our goals.

    Take yourself seriously
Always ask yourself questions through out your life. What sort of life do you want? Where do you want to live? Who with? Are you doing a job you love? Ask yourself, ‘What would I do if I knew I couldn’t fail?’ Then take this question out to lunch with you. Have a relaxed look at it over coffee and write this heading down: ‘What do I really want?’ When you have a list of 30, mark the 10 items that you really want. Then decide which three items you feel you must work towards achieving – those are the things that you owe it to yourself to put serious effort into.

  4. So Darshan Kriya

    August 31st, 2009 By: Brittany

So Darshan Chakra Kriya, a wonderful meditation for transformation. This meditation is very traditional, and very powerful. I happen to come across this meditation the other day after I say a comment that someone had made at a meditation forum. This is a very powerful meditation yoga. I have started using it again first thing in the morning to help me get my mind in a clear spot. The version that I use is from Ana Brett, listed below.

This meditation can very quickly and effectively help a person to clarify and resolve the core issues in their life.

Sit with a straight spine and block your right nostril with your right thumb. Inhale through your left nostril. Hold your breath and mentally repeat the mantra Wha Hay Guru 16 times. With each Wha Hay Guru move your navel in three graduated movements towards the spine. On Wha pull it 1/3 in, on Hay pull it 2/3 in, and on Guru pull your navel in to the fullest extent you can. So, you are moving your navel 48 times in the course of repeating Wha Hay Guru mentally 16 times. After the 16th repetion of Wha Hay Guru, block your left nostril with your right little finger, lift your right thumb, and exhale through your right nostril. Then block your right nostril again and continue. Your eyes in this one are 1/10 open, looking down and in towards the tip of your nose. Start with 11 minutes of practice. Over time you can work up to 2 1/2 hrs.! Remember that it’s always inhale through the left nostril and exhale through the right. To end this meditation inhale and stretch your arms up and shake your whole body. Then meditate in science for a minute, focusing at the brow with Long Light Breathing.

Yogi Bhajan says, regarding So Darhan Chakra Kriya: “Of all the 20 types of yoga, including Kundalini Yoga, this is the highest Kriya. This meditation cuts through all darkness. It will give you a new start. It cuts through all barriers of accumulated neuroses. This kriya invokes the Kundalini to give you the necessary vitality and intuition to combat the negative pressure of the subconscious mind.” ( Raviana.com)

I have been using a great gluten free cooking site for a  year or so called Karina’s Kitchen. She has put together a great site with awesome recipes for those who are sensitive and allergic to wheat and gluten. She also has many recipes that she substitute dairy products for other alternatives. So, if you suffer from dairy issues it is a great site as well. With many people who are learning the positives about eating wheat and gluten free you have found the site site to learn from.
